My Dyson Airwrap was given to me as a birthday gift on December 11, 2023. I used the straightening and drying attachments a few times without any issues, but I did not try the other attachments for a long time because I wasn’t fully comfortable using them. When I recently tried the brush attachment for the first time, the attachment came loose on its own while it was wrapping my hair. In fact, all of the attachments had been slightly loose since the first day, but because I didn’t know anyone else who used an Airwrap, I assumed this was normal.
A short while ago, a Dyson stand opened in my city, Balıkesir, and I explained the situation to the consultant there. After examining the device, they said it could be a manufacturing defect. I clearly stated that I had used the product very little, that it had no scratches, and that it was in near-new condition. When I later called customer service, the representative told me that the product had been purchased on November 7, 2023, and that the warranty had expired. I explained that the device was a gift, so I did not know the exact purchase date.
The customer service representative asked me to pack the brush attachment and the device and hand them over to the courier company. Since all of the attachments were loose, I sent all of them. I shipped the product on December 5, 2025, and it was returned to me on December 8, 2025. When I checked it, I saw that only the bottom part of the brush attachment had been changed from black to gray, as if a patch had been applied. The original appearance of the product was altered, its aesthetic integrity was lost, and I was not informed in any way beforehand about this intervention.
I find it completely unacceptable for a product that was said to potentially have a manufacturing defect to be modified in this way and returned with a different-colored part, especially from a brand like Dyson. Because my Dyson Airwrap associated with order number 2704996009 no longer feels acceptable to me in its current condition and has lost its original appearance, I am requesting that I be contacted again and that a replacement be provided for my Airwrap device and its attachments.
