Wizz Air canceled my flight and only gave a voucher, how can I get a cash refund?

If Wizz Air canceled your flight, EU261 lets you choose a cash refund to your original payment within 7 days; a voucher is only valid if you explicitly agree. This applies to Wizz Air as an EU carrier on most routes under Article 8.

Wizz Air’s policy also says refunds can be issued either as WIZZ credits or back to the original payment method—use Live Chat or the Call Centre if the account page pushes credits.

For itineraries to/from/within the United States, DOT rules require automatic cash refunds for canceled or significantly changed flights when you reject alternatives or credits.
