Salomon X Ultra 360 Shoes Tear After Less Than Two Years of Normal Use

In January 2025, I purchased a pair of Salomon X Ultra 360 shoes from the Boyner store at Meydan AVM in Istanbul, Türkiye. Despite being marketed as a high-end, value-for-money product designed for outdoor use, the shoes developed significant fabric damage and tearing around the flex point of the foot within a relatively short period. These tears have also caused the shoes to lose their waterproofing capability.
Last Saturday, I took the shoes to the Boyner Meydan AVM store and submitted them for inspection. I later received the following notification regarding the inspection results: "The inspection process for the product associated with your form number ST-1882887-M1H6Y has been completed. Please visit our store for detailed information. B002." I then contacted the store by phone and was told that my claim had been rejected. They also explained that the reason for the rejection was written inside the box and that they could not access the details over the phone.
I do not believe it is normal or acceptable for a pair of shoes that has not even been used for two years, comes with a two-year warranty, and is specifically advertised for its durability and waterproof performance to deteriorate so severely in such a short period and develop tears that allow water to enter. I also strongly disagree with the idea that fabric tearing should automatically be considered user damage simply because the shoes have been worn and taken off. Throughout the period of use, the shoes were never caught on anything, burned, or subjected to any external damage or interference. Therefore, treating tears that developed solely through normal use as user-related damage is a serious concern, both in terms of warranty coverage and customer satisfaction.
I request that the product be reassessed and treated as defective, with a free repair provided. If repair is not possible, I expect a replacement or a full refund. I urge Salomon and Boyner representatives to take immediate action and resolve this issue. Otherwise, I reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Court.
