If you impulsively purchased an item at IKEA and later changed your mind about keeping it, you may return it if you adhere to the following points:
To successfully return or exchange the product, you must have your receipt and a valid government-issued photo ID.

Information from your ID will be retained in a company-wide database, solely for authorizing returns.

Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase.

While having the receipt is crucial for the return process, contacting IKEA customer support may be an option if you encounter difficulties or have specific questions about returning an item without the receipt. Keep in mind the specified timeframes, as IKEA offers a 365-day return policy for unopened products and a 180-day window for open products with proof of purchase.
