IKEA Sold Me a Faulty Järvfjället Chair with Misaligned Headrest
In the summer of 2024, I purchased a Järvfjället office chair from IKEA’s online store for ₺12,000. The current price of the same chair has now risen to ₺16,000. Unfortunately, the product has a serious manufacturing defect — the headrest is positioned about 6–7 cm too far forward, which causes my head to tilt uncomfortably and results in constant neck pain. After using the chair daily for the past month, I realized this issue is clearly a production flaw, not a result of usage. I also found several similar complaints on online forums, which confirms that others are experiencing the same problem.
This issue occurs every time I use the chair and has been ongoing for nearly a year. The product came with a 10-year warranty at the time of purchase. Although I no longer have the physical invoice, my online order record is still available.
Due to this manufacturing defect, I am requesting a full refund for the Järvfjället chair.
