Booking.com Reservation Left Us Stranded at Heroes Square & City Park Thermals Apartment

We booked the Heroes Square & City Park Thermals Apartment through Booking.com, trusting their service, but were completely let down by both the property owner and Booking. The owner sent a code and a video explaining how to find the place, but when we arrived, the location was terrible, and it was late at night, making it hard to navigate. When we finally found the apartment, there was no key! Despite multiple calls and messages, the owner never responded, leaving us stranded in the middle of the night. Booking’s customer service also failed to help, and we had no choice but to book another hotel at the last minute. The early booking discount we relied on was wasted, and I’ll never make an advance payment again. After reading reviews, I found that many other travelers experienced the same issue. How can Booking allow such situations to happen? I’ve lost all trust in the platform and will be using other services for future reservations.
