I Booked a Room in Thessaloniki via Booking.com but Got a Filthy, Unsafe Room Instead
I reserved a room in Thessaloniki through Booking.com, completed the payment in advance, and expected a stay that matched the photos and description. But when I arrived, I was shocked. The room reeked of a terrible odor, and the door was so flimsy it could be pushed open with a shoulder—absolutely no sense of safety or security.
Worse, the room looked nothing like the pictures shown on the site. It was clearly misrepresented. I immediately contacted Booking.com to request a refund, but they denied it, stating they couldn’t process any reimbursement.
This is deceptive advertising and an outright betrayal of customer trust. Booking.com failed to vet the listing properly and continues to support misleading properties that endanger their customers. I regret trusting this platform and will never use it again.
I demand a full refund for this appalling experience and urge Booking.com to take responsibility for the listings they promote. No one deserves to be tricked like this when booking a room online.
