I booked a stay through Booking.com at "Un bel appartement dans le centre de Bruxelles", confirmation number 5035****96, and paid in advance. On the very day we were supposed to check in, the host informed us that there was an electrical issue in the apartment and that we could not be accommodated.
Despite already being charged the full amount, I never received a refund. I’ve tried contacting both the property owner and Booking.com’s customer support multiple times, but no one is responding. I sent messages, made calls to both domestic and international support lines, and still—no reply. It feels like I’m being completely ignored.
I trusted Booking.com to guarantee my reservation or at the very least provide proper support in situations like this. Instead, I’ve been left with no place to stay and no refund, and no one willing to take responsibility. I expect Booking.com to immediately process my refund and hold the host accountable for canceling at the last minute without offering any resolution.
This kind of customer neglect is unacceptable. I strongly urge others to double-check hosts and policies—because once things go wrong, you’re on your own.
