Refund Request Due to Misdiagnosis and Faulty Biopsy

My grandmother had a biopsy on 7 April at the obstetrics and gynecology department of Medipol Bahçelievler Hospital. After the procedure, we were told that the result was clean, and we continued our lives based on this information. Despite this, my grandmother’s severe pain did not go away, so we felt compelled to consult another hospital.

At the second hospital, we unfortunately learned that my grandmother has cancer. There we were also informed that at Medipol Bahçelievler, tissue had been taken from dead tissue and that the biopsy and diagnosis were therefore wrong. Realizing that a wrong diagnosis and a faulty biopsy had been made in Medipol Bahçelievler caused us great shock and disappointment.

For about two months we both lost critical time and my grandmother suffered unnecessarily. For this process, we paid 20,000 TL for the biopsy and 5,250 TL for the examination, in total a serious amount for us. When we requested a refund from the hospital due to the wrong diagnosis and faulty biopsy, they did not accept their mistake, claimed that the information they gave was correct and behaved as if they were almost making fun of us. Because of this attitude, we were further victimized and completely lost our trust in this institution.

Due to the wrong diagnosis and faulty biopsy performed on my grandmother at Medipol Bahçelievler Hospital and the resulting loss of time, suffering and financial damage, I request that the 20,000 TL biopsy fee and the 5,250 TL examination fee we paid be fully refunded to me.
