Dyson V15 Vacuum Battery Died After Just 2 Years

I purchased my Dyson V15 cordless vacuum in October 2022, and I am beyond disappointed. In the middle of regular cleaning, the vacuum suddenly shut off and now won’t turn back on or charge at all. I haven’t even used it heavily, and yet the battery is completely dead in under two years. For a product that costs this much, I expected far better durability and support.

When I checked Dyson’s website, I saw that a replacement battery costs ₺5,500, and to make matters worse, it’s out of stock. So not only am I being forced to buy an expensive new battery much sooner than expected, but I can’t even find one to buy. How are we supposed to keep using a product if it breaks this quickly and parts aren’t available?

Are we now expected to spend thousands every couple of years on batteries and wait endlessly for stock? Dyson markets itself as a premium brand, but this kind of product life and customer experience feels anything but. I want a real solution—either provide a working battery under warranty or support loyal customers with accessible, affordable replacements.

"I was contacted and told that the battery would be replaced by calling the service, because there was no battery in stock. I was told that a payment of around 5900 TL would be required. I sent it today. Since the battery life is 2 years, I don't want to pay a high battery price for the vacuum every 2 years. I am renewing the battery once as a one-time thing, and I will probably throw it away in 2 years. It makes much more sense to buy a new vacuum from another company. I don't recommend it to anyone. Thank you for the courteous response."
