My Dyson V8 Battery Died Twice in 2.5 Years and I Got No Support After Warranty

I purchased a Dyson V8 vacuum cleaner, and after just one year, the battery completely died. I reported the issue to Dyson, and they sent me a replacement battery, which I appreciated. However, the second battery also failed after only a year and a half. When I contacted Dyson again, they told me they couldn’t help because the product was now out of warranty.

This is incredibly disappointing, especially considering how critical the battery is to the vacuum’s function. Without it, the entire machine is useless. A battery should absolutely come with at least a two-year warranty, especially when replacements cost up to ₺5,000.

Dyson, you claim to offer premium quality and service, yet you’re leaving customers unsupported when it truly matters. You need to stand behind your products and offer better battery support. I demand that Dyson reconsider this policy and offer affordable, long-lasting battery solutions—or risk losing customer trust.

"I was contacted and told that the battery would be replaced by calling the service, because there was no battery in stock. I was told that a payment of around 5900 TL would be required. I sent it today. Since the battery life is 2 years, I don't want to pay a high battery price for the vacuum every 2 years. I am renewing the battery once as a one-time thing, and I will probably throw it away in 2 years. It makes much more sense to buy a new vacuum from another company. I don't recommend it to anyone. Thank you for the courteous response."
