I purchased my Dyson V15 Detect Submarine cordless vacuum cleaner on 04.08.2025 from Mediamarkt in Panora Mall, Ankara, Turkey. The product is still under warranty. I started using the device approximately three months after purchase. Around two to three months after I began using it, the seal located between the motor body and the dust bin assembly, in the orange cyclone connection area, started to break and crack in several places. Following this deformation, clear air leakage began from the damaged seal area during operation, and the suction performance of the device noticeably decreased. Before this issue, Dyson had already provided a free dust bin replacement about a month ago, which reinforces my concern that the Dyson V15 models may have chronic problems. After the seal problem started, I contacted Dyson Turkey support by phone and via WhatsApp. During these conversations, I was told that the gasket in question was considered “cosmetic” and that there was supposedly no air inlet or outlet in the orange section. However, during a video call, I clearly demonstrated that air was being drawn in from the area where the gasket is located while the device was running. Despite this visual proof, I was told that nothing could be done, and my complaint was closed. I have not incurred any extra monetary cost so far, but I have spent considerable time and effort trying to have this issue properly evaluated under warranty. I have photographs and a video clearly showing the air leakage from the damaged seal area, which I am ready to share. At this stage, I first expect Dyson to acknowledge that this is not a cosmetic issue, but a technical one that directly affects the device’s performance, and to repair the product under warranty by replacing the faulty seal or any related part, and to perform a full technical inspection if necessary. In addition, considering Dyson’s corporate reputation, I expect the brand to handle this issue in a way that properly addresses not only my case but also similar problems that other Dyson V15 users may be experiencing.

The seal between the motor body and the dust bin of my Dyson V15 has broken, causing air to leak and reducing the suction power. I reported the issue to Dyson Turkey’s support line and via WhatsApp, but they told me that the problem is only cosmetic and that nothing can be done. So far, I have not received any proper response from the brand. I request that the issue be resolved, the seal replaced, and a technical inspection carried out.
