Trip.com Not Refunding 9.760₺ for Canceled Sunprice Car Rental
On 07.08.2025, I booked a Renault Clio rental in Bucharest, Romania through Trip.com (via Sunprice), paying a total of 9.760₺ by credit card. On the very same day, about 3 hours later, I canceled the reservation before ever collecting the car. Sunprice provided all necessary documents confirming that the car was never picked up and that I was entitled to a full refund.
Despite this, Trip.com has been stalling for two days and refusing to process my refund. Instead, they are offering only half the amount back plus reward points, which I find unacceptable. Since I never used the vehicle and canceled within a short period, there is no justification for withholding any part of my payment.
I demand a full refund of 9.760₺ to my credit card without further delay. Customers should not be penalized for canceling promptly before service was rendered, especially when the partner company has already confirmed my eligibility for a full refund. I request urgent action from Trip.com to resolve this matter fairly.
