Booking.com Won’t Refund My $1000 Rental Car Deposit—No Customer Support


I rented two cars in Cluj, Romania, through Booking.com from January 11 to January 18, 2025. I returned both vehicles without any issues, yet my $1000 deposit (500x2) has not been refunded. It has been weeks, and despite trying every possible contact method, I have received no response. There is no way to reach a representative from Turkey, and customer service is completely unresponsive. I trusted Booking.com because it’s a well-known platform, but this experience has been a nightmare. If you’re considering renting a car through this site, think twice!
