Hotels.com Lacks a Proper Customer Service That We Can Communicate

I made a reservation on Hotels.com but immediately realized that the dates were wrong when I received the confirmation email, this was a mistake on my part, but I immediately tried to correct it by contacting customer support and trying to change the dates, but the only option was to talk to an assistant robot. After 30 minutes of trying to reach a representative, I still couldn't get through. Hotels.com does not provide a valid phone number for customer support. As a paying customer, what's wrong with expecting to have access to timely and effective customer service? However, in this case, I was left to deal with an assistant robot that could not help me with my issue. I had already paid for the reservation and now I have no way to fix it. This is unacceptable! Why is there no valid phone number for customer support? Hotels.com needs to do better.
