I've been using Uber for a while, and after each ride, I consistently encounter issues. Uber sends me a promo code, making me think I have a discount available, but even when my conditions meet the requirements (like the "mcsilvercard30" discount), the promotion isn't applied. I assume they will eventually resolve it, so I spend hours trying to file a complaint (their mobile app and website are designed to be nearly impossible to reach), and then I wait for a response from Customer Experience and Account Protection (CEAP). On a recent ride back, I took a taxi that should have cost 194 TL. However, the taxi driver wrote 200 TL right in front of my eyes. I figured it was a tip, paid it, and got out. To my dismay, I later noticed that they had charged me 230 TL. I complained, but after some time, I received a response saying that the fare was calculated correctly. According to their own system, the distance was 12.66 km (with a kilometer fee of 13.75) plus an opening fee of 19.17, which should have amounted to 194 TL. But they insisted that there was no problem with the fare. Uber lacks a proper customer service channel in Turkey, leaving you feeling helpless no matter what happens. Once these issues are resolved, I will definitely be canceling my membership.
