Uber Charged Me More for the Same Trip

On October 5, 2025, I took two separate Uber Taxi rides in Antalya — first from Muratpaşa to Konyaaltı, and then back on the same route (Konyaaltı to Muratpaşa). The first trip was 9.4 km and lasted 17 minutes, while the return trip was nearly identical — 9.6 km and 15 minutes.

During the first ride, the driver arrived in a different vehicle than the one shown in the Uber app. He explained that his original car was being serviced and that he would use this one instead. Since he showed me the ride on his own phone, I reluctantly agreed to continue. I didn’t pay close attention to the meter because the driver kept engaging in conversation. When we arrived, I was charged ₺480 for that trip.

On the return trip — for the same route and even a slightly longer distance (0.2 km more) — I paid only ₺400. The ₺80 difference between the two fares for nearly identical rides, combined with the fact that the first driver used an unregistered vehicle, seriously undermined my trust.

Both rides were taken under Uber’s 50% discount campaign (up to ₺200). I reported the overcharge issue through the Uber in-app support system, but after three days, I’ve only received automated responses and no resolution.

I request that the difference between the ₺480 fare and the correct amount be refunded to my credit card and that Uber take stronger measures to ensure driver transparency and passenger trust in Turkey.
