I Paid ₺310 for a ₺220 Uber Cash Ride Despite Active Discount

I recently booked an Uber ride and selected the cash payment option, but the experience turned out to be extremely frustrating. The fare shown in the app was ₺220, and I had a valid discount applied to my account. However, the driver insisted that the fare was ₺310, claiming there was only a ₺25 discount “at most.” I showed him the app and explained repeatedly that the discount was more than what he claimed, but he kept arguing and refused to honor the price displayed in the app.
In the end, I had no choice but to pay the full ₺310 in cash. This is completely unacceptable. If Uber drivers are going to ignore what the app shows and charge whatever they want, what’s the point of using Uber at all? I rely on the price shown when I book my trip—not to be scammed by a driver who overcharges and dismisses active promotions.
