I used Uber recently and experienced a serious billing issue where my card was charged twice for the same trip. Although I contacted the Uber support team immediately, the refund process has been mishandled and my problem remains unresolved.
Initially, the support team responded by claiming that the refund for the first charge was successfully processed and that the issue was solved. However, when I checked my bank account, no refund was reflected. I reached out to Uber support again, but they only repeated the same response without investigating the situation properly.
Additionally, I had used a discount code for the trip, but this also had no effect on the total charge. The system still processed both payments at full price.
This double charge has caused me unnecessary financial stress and wasted my time trying to resolve the matter with a support team that does not provide meaningful help. I demand an immediate refund of the first incorrect payment and expect Uber to ensure such billing mistakes do not happen again.
