Hello, I’ve now used the Uber app twice because of the discounts being offered, but both times I was charged more than the fare I was shown at the time of booking. After my first trip, I contacted customer support and they acknowledged the mistake and issued a refund, which I appreciated.
However, during my second ride, the same thing happened—again I was overcharged. This time, when I reached out, Uber support simply said they had already helped me once before and couldn’t do anything now. Does this mean customers are only allowed one fair resolution, even if they’re repeatedly overcharged?
I feel misled and taken advantage of. A discount should not be a trap to overcharge users after the ride ends. If a mistake is made, it should be corrected every time, not just once. Uber needs to ensure fare transparency and stop brushing off repeat issues like this. I want my refund for the second overcharge, and I expect a fix to prevent this from happening again.
