Protherm Customer Service and Scheduling Issues
Protherm has terrible customer service and service management. When you request maintenance, they immediately charge you and schedule an appointment. They give a vague time window of between 9 AM and 5 PM, without specifying a more exact time. If you miss their call while waiting at home, your appointment is immediately canceled, and they try to reschedule it for another day.
If you can't take time off work or are only available on that day, you're out of luck and won't receive service. If you then request a refund, you're forced to fill out a handwritten, signed petition. Essentially, they don't provide the service and make it difficult for you to get your money back, pushing you to give up on your refund.
