Roborock S8 Sonic Keeps Crashing and Performs Worse After Service

On December 4, 2023, I purchased a Roborock S8 Sonic robot vacuum from the Vatan Computer branch in Kırıkkale. After using the device for a short time, the robot began constantly crashing into furniture and walls, which caused the water tank to crack. Despite repeatedly resetting and updating the map, the robot kept trying to enter areas it should not, had difficulty finding the charging station, and left permanent black marks on my carpets.

Because of these ongoing issues, I sent the product to service on November 20, 2025, and it was returned to me on December 4, 2025. In the service report, the issue was classified as user error, and a paid repair was requested. I did not accept this decision and made no payment because I believe the robot’s crashing behavior is caused by its own operating logic, not user misuse. My invoice number is krk 202 30 000 25 403.

After the device was returned from service, the problem was not resolved—in fact, its performance became noticeably worse. Previously, when cleaning my living room, I had to refill the water tank about twice, but now the robot finishes cleaning without even using half a tank. The operating time has significantly decreased, the noise level has increased, and both the vacuuming and mopping performance have visibly declined. In short, the device is now in a worse condition than before, both in terms of navigation and cleaning.

During this process, I communicated with Golf Insurance via WhatsApp, where I was asked to provide a shipping code and submit a payment request. I also tried to contact Roborock management by email, but my email was not accepted, so I was unable to submit my complaint. Vatan customer service also dismissed the issue as user error and refused responsibility. However, the robot’s repeated collisions and the cracked water tank are clearly the result of the device’s own operating behavior, and after returning from service, it began functioning in a clearly different and worse manner.

Over a period of nearly two years, the device has had constant problems, and the service and resolution process has become almost impossible for me as a consumer. Since my Roborock S8 Sonic robot vacuum is defective in both navigation and cleaning performance and became even worse after service, I request that it be replaced with a new unit at no cost to me. I will also attach videos showing the collision incidents to support my complaint.

The product was hit and a crack formed, but despite being under warranty, no solution is being offered. Also, after going to the service and back, its operation has completely changed.
