Reference GoToGate's policy states that refunds are issued around 6 days after the money is received from the airline.

If your flight was canceled or severely modified, exercise your legal entitlement to a cash refund from the airline (not a voucher).

Regulation 261/2004 governs this in the EU/UK, but the DOT in the United States demands fast returns, with new laws demanding automated refunds in many circumstances.
