I’m incredibly disappointed with my Dyson vacuum cleaner. After only five months of regular use—without washing or getting the dust bin wet—the red rubber gasket inside the dust container came loose on its own, rendering the entire dust bin unusable. When I contacted Dyson customer service, they simply told me that since my warranty had expired, I had to purchase a replacement bin. That’s over ₺2000 for a part that failed prematurely on a product that cost a fortune in the first place!
What’s even more frustrating is that after doing some research online, including on Şikayetvar, I discovered that this is a widespread and well-known issue. Clearly, the dust bin’s design is flawed—it’s not something users are damaging through misuse. This isn’t what I expected from a premium brand like Dyson. Why should I have to pay out of pocket to fix a manufacturing defect?
I was initially very happy with the performance, but now I can’t recommend Dyson to anyone. There are clearly production issues that the company refuses to take responsibility for. Dyson must own up to this chronic problem and offer free replacements or repairs for affected customers—warranty or not. I demand a proper solution.
