Dyson V15 Dust Bin Seal Defect Persists Despite Replacement and Warranty

I purchased a Dyson V15 vacuum cleaner about 6 months ago from the Dyson store at Mall of Istanbul (Mall Off AVM). Since the very first day, the dust bin seal has repeatedly come loose during use. This issue occurs every single time I operate the vacuum and makes it impossible to use the product efficiently.

Around 4 months ago, I contacted customer service, and they admitted the issue was known. They promised to send a new part. However, the replacement had the same defect, and the seal kept detaching. Despite the product still being under warranty, Dyson later demanded 1,500₺ for a dust bin replacement. When I followed up again on 02/09/2025, I was given the same response—only a paid replacement was offered, with no alternative solution.

I have since discovered that many other users are facing the exact same problem, which suggests this is a chronic design or R&D flaw, not user error. Labeling it as a customer-caused issue is unacceptable.

I request that Dyson acknowledge this as a manufacturing defect, provide a free replacement or permanent fix under warranty, and ensure a long-term solution for all affected users. Customers should not have to pay for design flaws in such a high-priced product.

Hello, I was called by your call center. I was informed that the dust container gasket of the product, which is still under warranty, would be replaced for a fee. A company that upsets its customers and does not stand behind the products it sells, that's you @Dyson.
