If Duolingo charged you without telling you after the free trial and wouldn't give you a return, read their terms and conditions first.

If you don't cancel your subscription before the trial ends, Duolingo says it will renew itself immediately. It says in their Refund Policy (https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403492548365-Refund-policy) that subscription fees aren't refundable unless needed by law.

Get the proof you need, like information about your subscription, emails, and billing records. You can email Duolingo at [email protected] or use their Help Center (https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us) to let them know what's going on.

Include information about when and how you tried to stop, and ask that your refund request be looked over again. It might help your case if you directly refer to their rules.

If they still won't give you your money back, challenge the charge with your bank or credit card company. Many of them will protect you against charges you didn't authorise or that came as a surprise.

If the problem remains unresolved, consider filing a complaint on Xolvie to raise awareness about the issue and inform others.
