Duolingo Charged Me $24 Without Authorization During Free Trial
I started a one-week free trial subscription through the Google Play Store to try the Duolingo app. However, without any authorization, additional password entry, or explicit consent from me, a package worth approximately $24 was purchased through the app, and the amount was charged to my card at Garanti Bank.
The transaction took place 2–3 days ago, and I canceled the subscription immediately after noticing it. Despite this, I have not received any information regarding a refund, and I could not find a phone number or customer service channel that I could contact. The charge only appears in my bank transactions and on the receipt sent to me by email.
I did not knowingly or willingly make this purchase, and I have been negatively affected by this unauthorized transaction. I absolutely do not accept being charged such a high amount for a package during a free trial. I request that the $24 payment be canceled and that the amount be refunded to my account as soon as possible.
