Unauthorized Duolingo Subscription Charge After Trial End
I decided to try the 7-day free trial on the Duolingo app. After the trial period ended, I noticed that I was charged $30 without any notification, confirmation, or warning. The charge was applied around 6:00 AM as an additional fee to my Turkish Telekom phone bill, which is linked as my payment method.
I do not accept that the annual subscription fee was automatically charged without my approval at the end of the trial period, and I feel wronged by this situation. I also cannot find a contact number for Duolingo, so I have not been able to reach anyone directly.
I am requesting a full refund of the $30 charge and the cancellation of my Duolingo subscription. I expect this process to be handled transparently and only with the user’s clear consent.
