Duolingo Charged Me $25 Without the Promised Free Trial Reminder

I started a one-week free trial on the Duolingo app to try the service. The app stated that I would receive information and a reminder about the subscription three days before the trial ended. Relying on this, I started a trial of the annual Super Plan, but I never received any warning or reminder.

Despite not giving any authorization and not receiving the promised reminder, I noticed in my bank transactions that I was charged $25 on September 12, 2026, on my Yapı Kredi Mastercard for an annual Super Duolingo subscription. As soon as I noticed the charge, I canceled my subscription, but I want to emphasize that I did not authorize the payment and was not properly notified.

I do not accept being charged during the free trial period without the promised reminder and without my explicit authorization. I request a refund of the $25 charged to my bank card for the annual Super Duolingo subscription.
