Unauthorized Duolingo Subscription Added to My Phone Bill

While using the “Duolingo Super” free trial, a 12-month subscription fee was charged to my phone line without my knowledge or approval. On March 28, a charge of approximately $31 was added to my Turkish Telekom bill and reflected in my April billing cycle.

As soon as I noticed the issue, I canceled the subscription via SMS on March 29. However, since the charge had already been processed, I have been left at a loss. I have not yet been able to reach either Duolingo or Turkish Telekom customer support, and I wanted to raise the issue here first.

I do not accept being charged for a 12-month subscription without clear and explicit consent at the end of the trial period, especially since I was not properly informed about such annual billing. I am requesting that the approximately $31 charge on my phone bill be canceled and fully refunded to me.

While using the Duolingo Super trial version, a 12‑month subscription fee was charged to my line without my permission or consent. I cancelled it by SMS on March 29, but I was harmed because the fee was still collected. So far I have received no communication from Duolingo or Türk Telekom, and there has been no progress regarding my refund request.
