I Was Charged for a Duolingo Annual Subscription Without Any Approval
We had purchased a one-month Duolingo English course package for my daughter C** B******. However, on the morning of October 9 at 05:18 a.m., a ₺2,799 annual subscription fee was charged to our credit card without our knowledge or authorization. This transaction was definitely made without our consent.
The subscription was processed through a supplementary credit card I had given to my daughter, who is a university student, and the card has a very limited spending limit. Because of this, both my daughter and I have been seriously affected by the situation. I have the payment proof and receipt for this transaction. However, I could not find any customer service contact number for Duolingo to report this issue directly.
I request the immediate cancellation of this unauthorized subscription and the full refund of the ₺2,799 charge as soon as possible. I kindly ask that our grievance be resolved urgently. Unfortunately, my bank account does not allow screenshot uploads, and I have no other device at home to take a photo of the document.
