Duolingo Charged $40 Without a Renewal Reminder

After completing the trial period I started to learn English on the Duolingo app, I discovered that I had been enrolled in a paid subscription without receiving any notification or reminder and without giving my permission or consent. On September 18, 2026, at 1:49 PM, $40 was charged to my Garanti Bank credit card, renewing my Duolingo Max subscription. Since I did not receive any reminder about the renewal deadline or any renewal warning, I do not believe I authorized this transaction, and I am very dissatisfied with the situation.

The payment details show September 18, 2026, and the order number ML7X75Y3B7. I submitted a request through the Help section explaining the situation, but no solution has been provided so far.

I request that the subscription initiated without my knowledge or explicit consent be canceled and that the full $40 payment be refunded to my card.
