Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation and Inconvenience with Business Class Ticket
I purchased a round-trip ticket from THY for Istanbul-Belgrade, departing on April 4th and returning on April 8th. To get a business class ticket, I used more miles and paid extra for taxes. However, my flight on April 4th was canceled due to operational reasons. Since there were no flights available at our preferred time, we had to reschedule our flight to a different day through the system. The hotel refund was not possible. We explained our situation to the hotel staff, but now we have to pay extra for the hotel and change our return date. Additionally, THY downgraded our business class tickets to economy class. I called customer service, but they only told me to fill out a form. I filled out the form, but no solution was offered. It is really disappointing that an international company operating on a global scale cannot act professionally. Both our miles and the extra money we paid went to waste. I request that my inconvenience be addressed and my rights be restored.
