Karcher SE4 Carpet Cleaner Broke During First Use
I purchased a Karcher SE4 carpet cleaner from a Taşpınar store on August 15, 2026. When I used the machine for the first time to clean my sofas and couch, just to test it, the filter tore during the very first use. The plastic attachment at the nozzle either fell off or broke, although I could not determine exactly what happened. Without this plastic component in place, the machine tore the fabric of my sofa along the edges. I had only cleaned one sofa, and the machine is now in this condition.
Additionally, the machine overflowed water from its sides during operation, leaving my room's parquet flooring practically flooded. If I had not noticed it in time, the flooring could have swollen due to the water damage. I had to wipe the floor repeatedly with dry cloths to remove all the water. Since the machine developed these problems during its very first use, I can no longer use it, my carpets remain dirty, and I am left dealing with the consequences of a defective product I paid for myself.
Despite the fact that the product is still covered by both its warranty and additional insurance, when I contacted customer service, I was told that they could not do anything and that I would have to purchase the required replacement part myself. I also contacted another number regarding the insurance coverage, and although I was told that I would receive a response on October 22, I have not received any follow-up to date.
I request that the necessary repairs or replacement of defective parts be carried out completely free of charge for a product that malfunctioned during its very first use and has caused me both property damage and a significant loss of time. If possible, I also request that the defective machine be replaced with a brand-new, fault-free unit. I expect to receive a response and a resolution to this matter as soon as possible.
