Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage But Didn't Compensate It

Hello. In July, I traveled from Northern Cyprus to Geneva with Turkish Airlines (THY). During this trip, I had a health issue, so I always requested a wheelchair. My companion was my sister. When we arrived in Geneva on the outbound leg of this journey, we noticed that our luggage was torn and damaged. Subsequently, we went to the THY desk at Geneva Airport and asked how we should proceed. Two staff members there told us that the entire process would be done online and that there was nothing we could do there. Following their advice, I submitted an online application after my trip. However, they have been causing me distress for months, saying that this process should be done at the airport, not online. I uploaded the documents as their airport employees instructed. I ASK - Is it my problem if their own staff misguided us? Our luggage became unusable!
