I bought a Siemens IQ300 washing machine in June 2022, and after only two months of using it, the rubber seal has ripped. I've dealt with problems before, like when the softener dispenser wasn't working and I had to call for help. I saw on the Complaints Board website that a lot of people have the same issues. When the service person came to fix the issue with the water softener, they said that the problem was caused by low water pressure and blamed it on the user. To make things even worse, the service people kept insisting that I had to buy the detergent they had with them or else they would charge me extra for their service. I bought the detergent even though I didn't really want to, just so I could get something in return. After checking the Complaints Board later, I noticed that both the service and Siemens didn't do a good job of resolving this issue. Other users, like me, have also experienced tears in the rubber seal. This makes us wonder about the engineering and material quality of Siemens, which appears to be lagging behind even the Finlux brand. I had a Finlux machine before, and it worked perfectly fine for eight years without any issues. I wish I had picked a newer Finlux model. The problem with the softener compartment fixed itself. Now, you'll likely give me a call and propose fixing the issue for a fee. But anyone can replace a rubber seal. Why should I bother with the Siemens brand if I can buy and replace the seal myself for less money? You guys only offer a warranty for the motor, not for any other parts. How can I damage the closed lid of a machine and make a tear in it? Lots of people are going through the same problem. You messed up, but I know you won't own up to it. If you're thinking about buying a Siemens product, make sure to visit the Complaints Board to see if there are any complaints from other users about the product. I'll take care of my problem; after all, the warranty only includes the motor. Getting and installing a rubber seal is not difficult at all. Anyone who knows how to use a tool can handle it.
