3 Year Old Siemens iQ300 Dishwasher Started Rusting

January 24, 2024 6:08 PM63
Mehmet's Thank You Message
A little while ago, Siemens customer service called. They said, "Please wait, your request will be evaluated." Let's hope for the best, and even if it's not favorable, may God turn it into something good and make it beneficial.

We bought a Siemens dishwasher with trust, but it started rusting. The iQ300 model dishwasher we got about 3 years ago has started to rust. Yesterday, the technician came and said it's not user-related, it's a machine issue, and he wrote a report stating that the door needs to be replaced. I questioned why it wasn't replaced entirely if it's a factory defect. I called Siemens customer service and explained that I trusted their brand, but now it's rusting, and if it's a factory defect, why isn't it replaced with a new one? They insisted that only the door would be changed, nothing else. Siemens has shattered our trust. I've seen others online facing the same issue. If there's a problem with this model, recall and replace all of them. It seems Siemens enjoys losing customers. My brother had a rust issue with his Siemens fridge, and he took it to the Consumer Arbitration Board, and it was replaced. It's not easy to earn people's trust, yet Siemens, a company we trusted, seems undeserving. If your device is rusting, and there are many complaints, why not provide a solution instead of causing problems? I demand a replacement for the rusted dishwasher. I refuse to accept just a door replacement. I will also take this matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board and social media. We demand our rights. Siemens needs to address the rust issues for its users. Rust doesn't suit a company like Siemens, but if Siemens thinks otherwise, I don't know what to say.

Here is the translated text from Turkish to English: "Today, at around 09:38, Siemens customer service called. They said they would replace the cover. I told them that they had made a device that rusts and that their device was problematic. They said that they were replacing the cover because there was already an issue with the device; otherwise, it would have been a paid replacement. I said that I do not accept the cover replacement and that I want the rusting device to be replaced with a new one. They insisted on the cover replacement, and I said I would apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. They said, 'If you want to proceed this way, it's up to you.' I will now apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. In a way, it was good to get to know this company. We are in a situation where we need to buy a new refrigerator, so we need to find a company that does not victimize its customers. Look on the internet; Siemens has a rust problem, which means you haven't been able to solve the rust problem. There can be a malfunction in the product, but rust is a different issue. As Siemens, you need to provide a solution to your customers for the rust problem. I swear I haven't heard of a rust problem with any other brand. May it be for the best. Every problem is an opportunity."

Since I did not accept the cover replacement, I went to get a technical service report from the technical service. When the technical service came, they did not provide a report. Interestingly, wasn't it Siemens who said that a free cover replacement would be done due to a device fault? When I received the technical service report, it stated that the report was updated by Tuğba Kınal on 24.01.2024 at 10:14. However, the service had come on 23.01.2024. And they had said the fault was due to the device, and when we spoke to Siemens, they also said it was due to the device and that a free cover replacement would be done. I had requested a replacement with a new device. I had mentioned that the technical service report was updated. It stated that the process was out of warranty. However, I have a warranty. Additionally, it mentioned labor code 00994398 and usage error and information code 901. Why did the report not mention the fault due to the device as both the technical service and Siemens had said? Why was the report updated? I do not understand. I will apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee once I complete the documents.

Customer service just called. They are insisting on a free cover replacement. I will now go to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I will also say goodbye to Siemens and Bosch. I will neither buy nor recommend Siemens and Bosch. I will also write to Germany. It seems that Siemens wants to fight with its customers. At most, I will lose my dishwasher after the warranty expires, which still has 4 years left. Then you will lose a customer, dear Siemens and Bosch. See you in the Consumer Court.

Here is the translation of the text from Turkish to English: On May 6th, we received the following message from Siemens: Dear Customer, your product will be replaced with the equivalent product coded SN23II62MT as per the decision of the Arbitration Committee. We kindly ask you to visit our dealer to see the model and call 444 66 88 to give your approval. During the replacement, your faulty device will be taken back from you. We kindly request you to keep the device. B016

Here is the translated text from Turkish to English: SN235100NT iQ300 was my stainless steel dishwasher. When the Consumer Arbitration Board decided to replace it, the regional directorate called and said that since this model was discontinued, they would offer the equivalent SN23II62MT iQ300 model for approval if we liked it. I asked if there could be another model, and they said it was possible, but if there was a price difference, we would need to handle it accordingly. They asked us to determine 2 models and inform them for evaluation. We agreed. We reported the SN23EW60KT iQ300 white and SN23EW62KT iQ500 white models to Siemens customer service. They said the iQ300 model was not available and that the SN23EW62KT i500 white model would be entering factory stock soon, so we would need to wait a bit. Once it arrived, it would be sent to the technical service in our city, and we would receive a message to exchange the old device for the new one. There was a small price difference, but customer service said they would discuss it so that we wouldn't have to pay, and thankfully, the exchange was made without any payment. Today, our new device arrived and was installed. We didn't get stainless steel; we chose white. Additionally, we had over 4 years of warranty, and the technical service said that if we paid 549 TL, we could get an additional 3-year warranty, making it a total of 7 years. Siemens is a company that respects the decisions of the Consumer Arbitration Board very much. They directly provide a higher model and also offer the option to choose a different model. I thank Siemens, and I also thank Ahmet Soyubelli, the regional manager of Adana Siemens Bosch Profilo Technical Service, and the technical service team.

Siemens Dishwasher Door Cracks Three Times in 10 Months

"They ignored the laws in Turkey and refused to accept the replacement. My advice to those who are considering buying a machine from this brand is to read the complaints before making a decision. They never stand behind the products they sell. The panel of our machine will be replaced for the third time. By the way, when the machine cracks, the board gets damp and water definitely gets inside, so in the long run, those parts will also start to fail. While we were barely making ends meet and wanted to buy a quality product for our home, we ended up in trouble. I will upload the photos to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and see what result comes from there. Be careful, friends, I suffered, don't let it happen to you. If you think this is a quality brand, take a look at the photos in this complaint."
