I bought the Philips Azur 8000 Series iron for my wedding trousseau, trusting the brand’s reputation for quality. Unfortunately, the tip of the soleplate broke unexpectedly, with no impact or misuse. To make things worse, the water filling cap also snapped off shortly after.

When I contacted support, I was told the replacement soleplate would cost around ₺3,000, which is outrageous considering the product is practically new. Because of the excessive price, I had no choice but to glue the broken piece and continue using it, which is far from safe or acceptable for such a high-end item.

I later discovered that many users are facing the same problem, which suggests a design flaw or material defect. Philips, please stop shifting the burden to the customer and offer a proper solution or free replacement for faulty components. This should not be happening with a premium product.
