Philips Azur GC5037/80 Iron Heating Failure - Device Dead After One Year Use

I bought my Philips Azur GC5037/80 iron years ago as part of my wedding trousseau. I started using it after getting married and was only able to use it for about a year in total. For the past seven months, the iron hasn’t been heating up or working at all. The issue appeared suddenly while I was ironing. Despite trying different sockets and cleaning it thoroughly, the lights turn on but the iron doesn’t heat. When I contacted Philips customer service, they directed me to an authorized service center, where I was told that the base was burned and I would need to pay ₺5,000 for repair. However, considering how little I’ve used the product, such a malfunction in such a short time is unacceptable. I also found dozens of people online and on Xolvie experiencing the same issue with this model. Despite this, Philips has not offered any solution or support and is demanding an excessive repair fee, which left me deeply let down. The product is marketed as a smart iron with self-protection features, yet it still fails like this, and the responsibility is entirely placed on the user. I don’t find it fair that customer satisfaction is being ignored this way. I request a free repair and for my grievance to be resolved.
