Philips Refused to Repair My GC3929 Steam Iron That Burned After Few Uses

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to request your support regarding an issue I’ve encountered with my Philips GC3929/64 PerfectCare Steam Iron, which I purchased on April 12, 2023, from a seller named “Birlikteyiz” via Hepsiburada. As someone who lives alone, I have used the iron only a handful of times—no more than 5 or 6 times in total. However, while using the device last week, it suddenly caused the circuit breakers to trip, and a strong smell of burnt plastic came from the iron. I immediately took the product to the Philips authorized service center in Kuşadası. Unfortunately, I was informed that the warranty had expired just one month earlier, and the repair would not be covered. They also stated that the iron's soleplate needs to be replaced, at a cost of approximately ₺3,000. It is truly disappointing for a product that has been used so sparingly to fail in such a way. As a long-time Philips customer who has always trusted and appreciated the quality of your products, I kindly ask for your assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you in advance for your attention and support. I look forward to your response.
