Nine West Sent Defective Shoes in Wrong Sizes, Refusing to Honor Consumer Rights

On June 27, 2024, I purchased a pair of size 37 shoes and sandals from ninewest.com, with an additional discount applied in my cart. When my order arrived, the shoes were fine, but the sandals were an issue: instead of a matching pair, I received two left sandals—one size 37 and the other size 39. This is clearly a defective item. According to consumer protection laws, I have four options within two years from delivery for defective goods: a refund, exchange for a non-defective product, repair, or discount.
Due to travel, I couldn’t request a return or exchange within the first month. When I eventually contacted Nine West, they told me the return/exchange period had expired, disregarding my rights concerning defective products. This response shows a lack of commitment to consumer rights. I plan to file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board, not because of the monetary value but to address these arbitrary policies.
