Last November, I bought an HP Victus 15-fa1042nt Intel i5-13500h 16GB RAM 512GB SSD 6GB RTX4050 15.6 laptop from Teknosa. I noticed an issue with the hinge of the laptop and contacted HP to confirm it. HP confirmed the issue and asked me to send the laptop in. They quickly created a shipping code the same day and had me send it in immediately. After the laptop was sent, I received no communication whatsoever, only a message with a link that didn’t work. When I called HP customer service several times to get an update, they kept telling me that no technician had been assigned yet. Even though 20 business days had passed since I sent the laptop, no technician had been assigned. I wasn’t given any information, and when I called again to demand my rights, a customer service representative spoke to me rudely, as if I hadn’t been wronged, and scolded me like a child. When I mentioned I would go to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, they responded with “go wherever you want,” further increasing my frustration.
After that call, I called again to file a complaint against that representative and reiterated that I wanted my rights. I was told someone would get in touch with me as soon as possible and that I would hear back no later than the next day, but again, no one contacted me. When I bought the laptop, there were many alternatives with the same or even lower prices, but I chose HP because I trusted the brand. Now, I see that not only has this trust disappeared, but they have made it worse by scolding me. Why should I accept the same price for a laptop whose value has changed since I bought it? They raise prices due to inflation when selling, but they leave the customers in a difficult position. Moreover, every business day I wait, I’m losing more money. I want HP to compensate me for the inflation-adjusted value of my invoice. It will not reflect well on such a reputable company if their name is brought up in court. If I don’t get what I’m entitled to, I will seek both financial and moral damages through legal action. Despite the business days passing, my problem remains unresolved, and I continue to suffer losses. They make me feel like all the money I spent has gone to waste by scolding me. Currently, the same HP Victus models sold by Teknosa are priced between ₺40-45000, and the model I bought is not available for less than ₺40000. I no longer want the amount on my invoice, I want the inflation-adjusted value of my money. Do they acknowledge inflation when selling but not when buying?
