GAP Refund Issue: Inconsistent Pricing for Returned and Replacement Items
On 19.10.2024, I purchased six sweatshirts via the GAP mobile app for 13,999₺. With the promotion offering 500₺ off for every 2,000₺ spent, I paid a discounted total of 10,499₺. However, two of the sweatshirts (same model, same price, different colors) became excessively fuzzy after the first wash. I returned them to the store for review, and on 01.11.2024, I received SMS confirmation approving an exchange or refund.
When I visited the store, I was told the replacements would be processed based on the discounted price I paid, while the new items would be charged at full tag price. This pricing is unfair, as the returned items should have been valued at their original price for the exchange. Additionally, the refund calculation for the two sweatshirts (originally 1,699₺ each, purchased for 1,349₺ each) was communicated as only 975₺ per item, which makes no sense. Even the store supervisor admitted the situation was problematic.
I request GAP to resolve this issue immediately by ensuring the returned and exchanged items are calculated fairly. This arbitrary pricing policy is unacceptable.
