I Regret Buying the Delonghi Magnifica Plus—Machine Failed Twice

On March 7, 2025, I purchased the Delonghi Magnifica Plus automatic coffee machine from MediaMarkt. By March 13, after using it only 2–3 times, the machine started showing constant error messages, failed to dispense coffee despite grinding it, and sent all grounds directly into the waste bin. Half a kilo of coffee was completely wasted, and we had no choice but to return it to the store, where it was sent to service.

We received the machine back on March 23, with a note that the “elevator system” was adjusted by the service team. That same evening, we tried using it again and recorded every attempt on video. Despite the hopper being full, the machine wouldn’t grind the coffee and displayed a “fill coffee container” warning over and over.

We spent ₺31,000 on this machine, and all we’ve gotten in return is stress, wasted time, and frustration. The machine is heavy and hard to transport, and having to return it twice—especially while fasting during Ramadan—has pushed us to our limits. We no longer want a repair or even a replacement unit. We demand a full refund.

For one and a half months, no action has been taken regarding the return of the product, which was said to be irreparably broken by the service. It is said that the headquarters is waiting for the form to be approved, how can that form not be approved for so long, shame on you, what a bad brand this is. There were people saying, 'Would you buy a coffee machine from a brand that produces vacuum cleaners?' I wish we had bought from that brand, we wouldn't be so disgraced. Which department is making us wait so long for the approval of the mentioned form, are the employees in this department not inspected at all, what kind of corporate work understanding is this, is there no one who respects their job working in this company!

No matter how much time has passed, our problem has not been solved. Customer service says the service will call you, the service says the central office will approve some report, and weeks have passed like this with no one calling or asking. We are the ones who pay for the product and end up being humiliated. It's really a shame, this brand and its authorized services unfortunately consist of incompetent people.
