I Face Last-Minute Booking.com Cancellation for Sunny Memories Hotel With No Alternative Stay

I booked a stay at Sunny Memories through Booking.com well in advance, trusting the company’s reliability, and paid by credit card. On the morning of August 5, 2025, an email was sent notifying me that my reservation had been canceled. However, since I was changing countries and my phone lines took time to activate, I never saw the email. I only found out upon arriving at the hotel at 3:00 PM, the official check-in time. I had traveled with my two children all the way from Turkey to Thassos Island, Greece, only to be left completely stranded.

When I arrived, I could only speak with a cleaning staff member—there was no way to meet the hotel owner, and no assistance was offered. Booking.com processed only a refund, which does not address my situation. I am now in a foreign country with two children, no accommodation, and no availability at nearby properties.

I am requesting that Booking.com urgently arrange an alternative stay matching the same standards and amenities as my original booking. I expect an immediate resolution to my accommodation problem.
