Azal Airways Double Charge Debacle, Unjust Merger Fees
I purchased 3 round-trip tickets in September for my flight dated 22.11.2023 via Buta airways. Later, as I needed luggage, I wanted to add luggage. When I called Buta, they gave a price of 30 euros-35 dollars. (This is also valid on the Buta website) But when I tried to add luggage, a price of 65 dollars appeared on my screen. When I asked the reason, they stated that Buta and Azal Airways merged as of November, so Azal's pricing was valid for November flights. I tried to do these operations in October. Why do I have to pay twice the price because of your merger? This is my 1st Problem. Secondly, one of the tickets I bought belonged to my brother. Due to university exams, my brother will not be able to join us and come to Baku. When I called 20 days in advance and wanted to cancel the ticket, I was told that no refund could be made, and even if my brother could not attend the outward flight, he would not be able to benefit from the return flight. As a result of this information, they neither refunded nor exchanged the $168 fee I paid. In case of cancellation of the reservation made with the airline companies, a certain amount of tax must be refunded. I also want this tax to be paid to me when I cancel. Otherwise, I will not use your flights on my next flight, whether it is reduced or not. Thanks.
