Turkish Airlines Didn't Refund My Baggage Fee
Last August, I purchased a ticket from Turkish Airlines that included a 23 kg baggage allowance. When I arrived at the airport, they claimed my ticket only included cabin baggage and charged me an additional 105€ for the baggage fee. After numerous complaint emails and phone calls, it was acknowledged that I was right, and I received an email stating that I could either get a refund within 2 years or use the amount towards another ticket within 1 year. This August, I tried to use my right while purchasing a ticket, but the system did not accept it. When I went to the Kiziltoprak office in Turkey to request a refund, they told me they could refund almost half of the ticket price in ₺ because the exchange rate was different when I bought the ticket, and they could only refund at the new rate. I was directed to the Amsterdam branch. I still haven't received my money. Offering a refund based on exchange rate differences is not appropriate for any corporate company. I am committed to fighting until I receive the 105€ I paid. Turkish Airlines has consistently put me in difficult situations whenever I change countries; I try to avoid flying with them as much as possible and demand the 105€ they unfairly charged me back. As the same amount!
