Turkish Airlines Removed Pre-Selected Seats for My Family's October Flight

On May 20, 2024, I booked round-trip tickets from Düsseldorf to Istanbul for myself, my spouse, and my baby, carefully selecting seats in the front rows to ensure a more comfortable journey. The flight is in October 2024, and we made an early reservation specifically to choose seats that would help us avoid disturbing other passengers. I even have confirmation emails showing our selected seat numbers.
However, just two weeks before the flight, I checked the tickets and discovered that our seat selections were removed. When I contacted customer service, I was told that Turkish Airlines introduced a new policy, turning the front rows into a paid "premium" category, so we now need to pay extra for those seats.
It’s extremely frustrating that THY keeps finding ways to charge more, first by reducing baggage allowance from 30 kg to 23 kg, and now by making seat selections a paid feature. Isn’t early booking supposed to guarantee the seats we want? After this experience, I will never fly with THY again. I expect a resolution to this issue and a refund for the inconvenience.
