Turkish Airlines Palermo-Istanbul Flight Cancellation and Ticket Change Issue
I purchased tickets for my spouse and myself for the Turkish Airlines flight from Palermo to Istanbul on July 31st (PNR: ug64tm). Subsequently, this flight was canceled by Turkish Airlines. On June 16th, my spouse contacted the call center for a ticket change. During the call, we were informed that the tickets were changed to a Palermo-Istanbul flight with a Rome layover on July 31st.
The tickets appear under the PNR number. However, we noticed that ticketing for the flight could not be completed. Turkish Airlines is demanding a payment of ₺38,000 for ticketing. The process for our objections is ongoing, but our hopes for a positive outcome are diminishing.
The call center staff are not being helpful. Due to the flight cancellation by Turkish Airlines, we are facing an inconvenience with the layover journey, along with a ticketing issue and the threat of an additional payment, which is causing us psychological stress.
We believe that Turkish Airlines, which aims to be the best airline in the world, has a long way to go. We request that this inconvenience be resolved as soon as possible, and if not, we will pursue the matter through all legal channels.
