Turkish Airlines Lost My Bags on My Flight - Offered No Compensation

I had a flight with Turkish Airlines to a destination about 250 km from Kazan Airport. When we arrived, none of our bags were there. We were told they were still in Istanbul and would be sent on the next flight, but four days passed with no clothes or personal belongings—during snowy weather. Despite multiple attempts, we couldn’t reach Turkish Airlines via phone or through the airport's lost property office. So, I traveled 250 km back to the airport, only to find out the bags had been sent to a distribution depot on the other side of the city. I picked them up myself—one of the bags was damaged, which I reported to Turkish Airlines. The response I received was laughable. I was told I should have filed the report while picking up the bags at the airport, even though I did. There was no help, no compensation for the damage, no apology—nothing. Think twice before flying with Turkish Airlines. The high standards they advertise do not reflect the reality. My flight to Kazan Airport cost me ₺22,000, and the return flight ₺42,000.
